Silas Home Care is comprised of  two sister companies, both accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), an independent organization that conducts rigorous evaluations to ensure we meet high standards of patient care. Together, our two companies:

Silas Home Care, Inc.
Our Medicare-certified agency, licensed by the State of Michigan Department of Community Health, provides skilled nursing care and therapies primarily for patients who need short-term care while recovering at home during the weeks or months following a hospital stay. This care requires a doctor’s order. When your doctor or hospital case manager recommends such care, you can choose Silas Home Care, Inc., and request that the physician write the prescription for our services.

Silas Home Care, Inc., accepts Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Tri-Care insurance as well as private pay by the patient or family. Medicare may cover this home care at no direct cost to the patient or family if you are age 65 or older or disabled – and you meet federal qualifications. We can help you to determine whether you qualify. We bill Medicare or your insurance company directly to save you the paperwork.

Silas Home Care Services, Inc.
Our private-duty agency provides both skilled and nonmedical home care, including assistance with personal hygiene and homemaking as well as restorative therapies, for patients unable to perform these tasks independently. These services are available either short-term or long-term and may be requested directly by the patient or family without a doctor’s order.

Silas Home Care Services, Inc., accepts payment from insurance carriers, including worker’s compensation and auto accident insurance, and private pay by the patient or family. Our fees depend on the level of skill required to perform specific caregiving duties and the number of hours per day and days per week that our services are needed.
